Description
The Community Tours Mini-Grant was created by the Youth Empowerment Fund (YEF) of the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth, and Their Families (DCYF) to help develop youth leaders who are experts in the historical, cultural, and social wealth of their communities. Through this mini-grant, youth will not only research their communities, but also create a community tour to teach others what they have learned.

The purpose of the Community Tours Mini-Grant is to:
Build a team of youth experts in each San Francisco community.
Help youth research and understand the historical, social, economic, and political forces that have shaped their community.

Promote youth leadership and empowerment.
Outreach to youth from throughout the community to attend the community tour.

Total funding available:
$55,000

Grant size:
Up to $5,000 per Supervisorial district (11 districts total)
